Labor Day has past. The State Fair is over. Summer is done.
I had a very full summer, full of camping, canoeing, diving, visiting friends and family.
Back in March, my husband and I made a list of all the trips we wanted to fit in during the summer. How did we do?
Looking back on the list now, I am pleasantly surprised. Each activity was touched on. Of the entire sheet of trips, only two were not taken. Yes, yes, there were other items on the list, but they began their life there with a question mark after their name. They were never that wanted in the first place.
Of the two trips not taken, one has been postponed to the fall. It has not been scheduled, but it can easily be taken as a day trip. That offers us a bit of flexibility.
The last remaining trip is not to be this year. As much as I would love it, there are very good reasons why this summer was not the time. I will accept that for this year. Next year, that trip is top of the list. Ironically, it physically was this year, too.
How about you? How did your summer go? Did you fit in all the adventures that you hoped? Let me know in the comments below.
